Watch the weather reports for Phoenix... the temps at the bottom of
the Canyon will be very close to what Phoenix has, except that the
nights may be a bit...

Thanks for the ideas of custom fitted boots. I suppose the main problem is
that I live in Iowa and there aren't really any serious outdoor stores....

We did this same hike in late April this year. Temps were in the 100s
and we desperately were seeking shade. The hike from Hermit to
Granite didn't take...
