I think we just discussed this in detail here. Directing someone to
the river at Trinity is not a really great idea. Much better to
proceed on a bit further...

From my point of view, going in from Saddle Mt. is by far the best. Turn at
the buffalo
Range and head for Saddle Mt. (clearly visible) and take the trail up...
