Hi Bob,
I have used a sat phone in the areas where you are going with success
in all but the tightest spots. The more horizon, the better. I am not

Bob...I use a sat phone often down in the Canyon; generally there is no place where you would not get a signal ....if you walked a short distance to an "open"...

Down in those canyons you will likely have intermittent service. They require a pretty good view of the horizon to work reliably. My most recent experience...
