Recently I used a hammock on the rim at Mather Campground and had no problems. I was told not to hang it on any of the trees below the rim.

I forded Tapeats Creek at the mouth about two weeks ago and would
suggest using great care when crossing the creek, as it was flowing at a
much greater rate...
