The other "trick" we use is to make sure our knees straighten on each stride (just momentarily) going up hill, as this saves wear & tear on other leg...

Pitching a tunnel/hoop tent: Tunnel tents only require three anchors for the tent body . Side vestibules may require two more. A triangle is more stable...
