Do web searches for Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness (DOMS). There is some
evidence that vitamin C helps. I ran across this article recently and
have not tried...

I agree that cycling seems to develop asymmetry in the muscle groups, especially those stabilizing the knee. Trip before last I did much of my conditioning...
