We have permit for 3 nights in Palisades. A hike to the confluence
is a must. The permit specifically prohibits camping within 1/2 mile

This is not a good idea.....Many deaths have occurred by the underestimation
of the Colorado River. It is best to hitch a ride with a river...

That probably means you can camp anywhere as long as you pay the fees
