I use a PUR Hiker and carry iodine tablets as backup. I also carry a
coffee filter to put around the prefilter if the water is muddy.

I use a MSR MiniWorks filter. It doesn't pump as fast as several
other products but makes up for it by being able to be cleaned in the
field.
