The BCO is always open every day 8-5 with an hour break at noon. If
you fax after closing, it seems to be understood that it goes in the
next day's pile....

Not sure on the after hour fax question but the BCO is open on January 1. So the fact that it is a Holiday doesn't matter.

The backcountry office said the new permits saves money. The old
ones were about $1.00/piece. I was told the new ones are
about .10/each.
