I too received my first choice for a Point Huitzil/Royal Arch hike for
March. Last year, I spoke with the BIC and was assured the paper in the
fax machine...

The BCO is always open every day 8-5 with an hour break at noon. If
you fax after closing, it seems to be understood that it goes in the
next day's pile....

Not sure on the after hour fax question but the BCO is open on January 1. So the fact that it is a Holiday doesn't matter.
