It's about stitching the tent material without introducing an area
that will now rip more easily.

When I plant a pole, I want it planted solid. I would not consider a
spring loaded pole for that reason alone, never mind the increased
cost and decreased...

The anti shock is a marginal improvement when you are descending something rather steep. They take some of the shock out of my elbow. Especially if I plant...
