past 4 years while hiking/backpacking, including all 5 of my GC trips.

Before my most recent trip to GC, I wouldn't have had much of an
opinion. But last Oct I used my Leki's for the primary "down to" /
"up from" a Redwall...

It's about stitching the tent material without introducing an area
that will now rip more easily.

I agree with Jim, poles are especially helpful when going downhill, but
you want to be sure it is planted and not going to move when you weight
it. A shock...
