Yes, there could be ice in April. We hiked Grandview with ice in
the last quarter mile or so, had crampons and did not use them --
the treking...

I have done just a little winter hiking and I have carried the 4pt
cmi's without using them. On the main corridor trails the cleats
seem to be the best...
