It is also a good idea to ask how old the information is at BCO or what the source of the information is.. Good people but their information isn't always...

Yes, there could be ice in April. We hiked Grandview with ice in
the last quarter mile or so, had crampons and did not use them --
the treking...

I have done just a little winter hiking and I have carried the 4pt
cmi's without using them. On the main corridor trails the cleats
seem to be the best...
