Hiking the AT
Was curious if any of you have hiked all or part of the
Appalachian Trail--2,000-some miles from Georgia to Maine?

I got mine today! Strange new permit form - no wire, and 3 times the
size of the old one. A little larger, and it could be used as a
ground...

I'm sure someone has already answered but if not, yes, you can easily
hike down to the river. It took me about 45 minutes (best
recollection). Very "Pluto"...
