You do, however, have to hike through Deer Creek Narrows to see the falls at the river. IMHO it is not worth it to come that far and not see Deer Creek...

exposure I don't get it. The most exposed place, by far, in this area is along Deer Creek Narrows. But you don't have to hike through Deer Creek Narrows...

Follow up... Supposedly the NPS did some repair work on this section of the trail about 2-3 weeks following my hike in '96. I am going back to Nankoweap...
