Night hiking
I've done a lot of night hiking in the summer months to avoid the
daytime heat (Hualapia Hilltop to just above village on three day
weekends, corridor...

If you can avoid taking tent stakes, you save yourself a few ounces of
weight (and frustration!). Much of the ground throughout the GC is too
hard to pound...

Trail conditions?
I am due out on Thursday and droping over the rim on the Grandview
Friday. A 4 night solo jaunt. I assume from the dry season that the
trails are ice free....

People with complete color blindness use the rods for all visual tasks, they do not have functioning cones. People with normal vision use the cones in...
