Should the water be shaken a few times over a 30-60 minutes
purification? Perhaps longer purification the colder the water?

Cheaper is a eye dropper bottle full of unscented household bleach (5%
chlorine just about everywhere in the world). 2 drops per quart if
clear and 4 if...
