Get your permits first then reserve your transportation.
A permit that says 'Any 3 nights in October' stands a much better
chance that a permit that...

October 15 as does the Trans-Canyon shuttle. Your transportation

4 months out is first opportunity for permits.
October should be busy as it is a great hiking time so make sure you
contact them at the first opportunity....

They rerouted the road to Point Sublime some number of years ago. It
used to leave from just inside the gate. That one they definitely
