As a fellow flatlander who has made several day hikes part-way into
the Canyon and one hike to PR, I would completely endorse the notion
of getting there...

Check with your MD as I know of no non-prescription medicine for
altitude sickness. I've used DIAMOX for it at higher altitudes and
only on the North Rim...

we have been doing as much of the up and down that the indiana state parks
have to offer we bought a annual pass for the state parks and have been
hitting...
