Jim - I also use a First Need and take it into the Canyon on all my
hikes. I have never had a problem. It is the only filter to go down
to .1 microns...

I use Aqua Mira as primary and a bottle of iodine pills as backup.
To me, Aqua Mira is much easier to use than a pump and of course
