Someone had also suggested the Tanner trail which was an excellent idea. It offers good day hike destinations with excellent views, and no parking problems...

Hi Garry!
I was there in hot, dry September and there wasn't water where the
trail crosses the drainage, but there was good water from a spring
down canyon...
