Powder under the brace really helps. If it is the strap on kind, taking it off and airing/drying the brace and your knee from time to time is a great help....

As a veteran of mucho knee surgeries I can offer a couple of things that helped me... Ask your PT to cut a few lengths of the fabric "sleeve" that is used...
