The afore-recommended Hermit/Tonto/BA loop is not a bad choice.
Another comparable hike would be to go down the Grandview trail and
circumnavigate Horseshoe...

I've always thought that the Hermit to Bright Angel loop was a great
first time off corridor trip. But then I wasn't aware of problems with

We hiked South Kaibab, Bright Angel, and Clear Creek in January. All
the rest stops and Campgrounds had TP, (except Clear Creek, but it had
a great view!). ...

There is a lot to do around the campground. Carbonate in the redwall
