They might even simplify that to Hermit Trail to Hermit at the river.
Hermit at River to Monument at the River, a rest day, and then out or
the inverse....

Hermit Creek and Monument. That seems to be a good place to graduate

I believe the warning is watch out for sharp or hot rocks. Avoid at all costs sharp hot rocks.

I also think Hermit to Bright Angel would be a good choice. You don't need
to take water at Horn if you plan well. And I'd recommend spending a night
at...

The afore-recommended Hermit/Tonto/BA loop is not a bad choice.
Another comparable hike would be to go down the Grandview trail and
circumnavigate Horseshoe...
