I hiked the N.Bass last May and found the improved upper section of the
trail easy to navigate. NPS paid for the "volunteer" work and ran out of
money late in...

Definitely true -- the trail is almost fully restored except the
Redwall switchbacks. The traverse section above the Redwall is a
very dramatic...
