Thanks. I know there is water on the way down @ tunnel and
springs..but i don't really want to have the extra weight if i really
don't have to bring it.....

Personnally, I used less than 2 liters of water on
the South Kaibab Trail last year, at the end of June.
Temperature at the ranch was really hot,...

Doug, would a 3 liter bladder and say a 32 oz bottle of electrolytes
be sufficiant from say, north rim to cottonwood in late may.. then
from there to BA...

Yeah, my sympathies too -- I definitely thought the gotta-have-it/
weight ratio was sub-optimal on the list. When I go solo for a short

If there were 6 of you, you could have split up the tent & some of
the food and water between at least 2 or 3 of you. That would have
