I have done New Hance to Grandview several times. Not much shade on Horsehoe Mesa.
Mainly junipers and some pinyon pines. You could find a little shade. ...

Did you try light therapy? Fall season can be really depressing up
here in Quebec (in December it's almost totally dark at 4:30PM), and
