Yep. I just checked a bunch of web cams in the flag area... looks like low clouds. Besides, if was smoke, would be much darker unless there was actual fire...

It's not just the Canyon. Here around Prescott it's very hazy too. I'm guessing moisture, but it also looks like smoke or dust, maybe from the desert south...
