I think you just lost the trail at that "red saddle". It's a bit confusing
there in the soft (Hermit?) mud, and I've had to slow down at least once to

I could see the use for such items if one is hiking El Capitan or the
river trips in the canyon, but I don't see the need when hiking the
trails themselves.

My husband came up with a similiar idea. But put screw on caps at
both end. Can easily be "wash/disinfect" after use. Use the large
round coffee filters...
