1. How different is driving time--say from Jacob Lake?
From Jacob's Lake it would probably take longer because you have to
drive about 30 miles on...

Tanner trail;
1st day hike to Palisades Creek
2nd day hike to LCR confluence + .5 miles
3rd day hike back and dry camp on the Tanner ascent. Maybe cache...
