I have flown many times with my gear and my dried food and have
never had any problems. I picked up a large duffel at a military
surplus store....

I have done a fair amount of flying with backpacking gear. Even before TSA it
was a bit of a touchy subject.
You can't carry fuel on board, don't even think...
