In Cottonwood, I've always found cleaner and more plentiful water
down at the Tonto trail crossing - 1/2 mile or so below where the
trail from Horseshoe Mesa...

Warning: don't rely on this post or any other. It's always a good
idea to check with the BCO to confirm just before you leave, and

James - Hance Creek on the east side of Horseshoe Mesa is considered
perennial. Cottonwood Creek on the west side is not considered
perennial, but in April...

Ratsacks, varmints, etc.
I can endorse the Ratsack. Fantastic invention. You can't always find a good bag hanging location and some of the plants are fragile enough this action...
