They do return calls. I called a couple weeks ago and I think it was the next morning they called back.

South Kaibab Trail - 6.3 miles from South Rim to river and 4860 ft....

I don't know about the Tanner Trail, but the Grandview is still
dicey. I would rather come up it than go down. Packed, icy snow, 1-
2 feet deep on a steep...
