Doing a quick estimate by looking at the map on terraserver-usa.com I
calculated about 3,800 yards, or 2.15 miles.

My vote would be to start b/4 dawn which is 511am for NK on June 4
so even a 430am start would be fine. It's an easy 2 mile walk down
the "Bridle Trail"...
