I would suggest if you need water b/4 Cottonwood to using the water
faucets at the old Bruce Aiken place aka Roaring Springs Residence
vs taking the spur...

It is our first "real" hike in the canyon. I'm an avid photographer
and want to enjoy this. Stopping at Ribbon Falls is really a must
for us.
