i can throw in a few observations here ...#1..the "trail" down to the ross wheeler actually runs counter...ie..when you leave the boat,the trail is plainly...

Come on Mike...you are absolutely correct as to the drainages and the buttes. Havasupai Point is on the south side, and so....what's the easily accessible...

I can pick out Marsh Butte, Whites Butte, and the Boucher and Hermit drainages on the south side of the river. I can even see what I like to call Charybdis...
