i can vouch for the ice walker strap-on cleats. they are cheap and
they kept me on my feet for the two miles or so of tanner that were
covered in snow and...

There are some inexpesive (under $10) instep crampons which work great.
They are a folded peice of steel and have a single strap which holds them in
place....

Hack Canyon Road is impassable. The local wilderness ranger has a very high
4WD and still hits bottom. The only way to access it is to park your vechile...

If this climbing route were on solid rock, I would
probably rate it at 5.0. But it is not solid rock,
which makes it much more difficult and dangerous. ...
