There are some inexpesive (under $10) instep crampons which work great. They are a folded peice of steel and have a single strap which holds them in place....

Hack Canyon Road is impassable. The local wilderness ranger has a very high 4WD and still hits bottom. The only way to access it is to park your vechile...
