Steve, this is not entirely correct. West Canyon IS part of GC NRA
(at least just beyond the high water line) and is shown within the
boundry of the park. ...

It was 91F at SR yesterday so a chaperone would be wise for those who
haven't hiked and/or hiked the GC... Forecast is for temps near or
above 110F at...

You should also know this hike requires a permit from the Navajo Nation
as it is on their reservation and not in the Glen Canyon Recreation Area.
