I have followed a route from the north end of Bright Angel Campground
about half way to Crystal Rapids. A ranger stationed at Phantom Ranch
told me about it...

really mean North Bass Trail to Deer Creek? Still a rough slog but a

Any updates on Hermit Road access?
I'm going to be at the canyon beginning on Nov 15th. I planned on
spending 2 nights at Bright Angel lodge before beginning my 5 night
