The entire route is described by Steck in his first book. Steck describes 4 long loops, but you could string parts of them together for your intended route. ...

I have followed a route from the north end of Bright Angel Campground
about half way to Crystal Rapids. A ranger stationed at Phantom Ranch
told me about it...
