The office should be open on January 1st (or at least it was in 2007 when I made a trip to get permits for specific dates). You can call to verify. Numbers...

Jim, you are correct in that the faxes will be processed in that way. However, they will be processed AFTER all of the walk-up permits are issued on the 1st....
