Gary, I have actually never liked the straps on my hiking poles.
They reduce my flexibility, especially when climbing is required. So
I remove the straps...

who cut half thier toothbrush handle off to save a 1/4 oz. Saving

breakfast - oatmeal with dried fruit and dried milk - 7oz
lunch/snack - jerky, trailmix, M&Ms, dried fruit,...
