Dick, you're a wealth of lightweight backpacking info! I thought my Golite wind jacket was light at 5.5 oz. The hiking poles are only 2 inches too short...

Gary, I have actually never liked the straps on my hiking poles. They reduce my flexibility, especially when climbing is required. So I remove the straps...
