Permit Trouble
DH is our permit holder for March and he is unable to go... any chance
the BRO would allow us to just change the permit holder and let us go
without him? ...

I sanaped a carbon fiber pole on the first day of a hike starting
down an alternate route into Nankoweap. Went back to a standard
light weight hiking pole...

John, I must admit that I've snapped carbon fiber poles twice in
Grand Canyon. Once after a few years of very hard use when I jammed
the pole hard and bent...

Dick,
Our Fossil loop trip in April was ten days and I was able to get
everything inside a Jam 2 pack except I had to carry one bladder
outside the pack...
