Bill, I would think to cross right up river from Lava Canyon rapids. You'd end up at the mouth of Lava Creek and the Chuar Valley, which gives you a possible...

Just for the record... They (NPS) didn't make them take the body to phantom. The accident happened 10 miles upriver just above the gorge. No place to land...
