Uh, maybe I was just lucky. I flew with them twice in carry-on with no
problems but that doesn't mean they're legal. I guess I'd better check
it out...

When I flew Southwest Airlines in January, I was told that they could
not be taken in carry on luggage.

Hiking Poles
Poles; like shoes/boots are a personal choice for comfort. I have
used Leki Super Makalus for 8 years in GC; averaging over 900 miles a
year "below the rim"...
