Another source is that this was a group rim-to-river and back
dayhiking and 4 went directly down to the riverbank from the southside
of Black Bridge...

there IS a warning sign at the boaters beach but my info says they jumped off the black bridge.. hard to figure because of the sides on the bridge.. they were...

My 2 cents after 15 rim-rim's would be to do the rim-rim in the evening as I too wouldn't do a summer rim-rim during the day and I live in Phoenix.
