I'm partial to Montezuma's Well which I find to be much more
interesting (and relaxing) than the Castle.
And there's also Arcosanti.

Any real risk from snakes seems to be more perception than reality. Snake encounters are not that rare for me and typically 1-3 rattlers each 3-10 day trip....
